Motivated by Love

My last post was entitled Motivated by Fear.  There are many, I'm sorry to say, in Catholic circles who are motivated by fear regarding their reaction to Pope Francis.

Here's a very enthusiastic article from Christianity Today in which a Protestant describes the thrill and the hope Pope Francis is bringing to all Christians as he takes Christ to the world.

May we all be motivated by love and not by fear, for only then will be truly be bringing Christ to the people.

Oh, but so many wrong things are done in the name of love and motivated by genuine concern for the poor. Charity must be tempered by obedience becaise we know not love. As you have mentioned before love has boundaries. Charity in Truth is better or motivated by Truth.
