Theology, Virtue and the Chicago Cubs

Frank Weathers sums it up:

 Institutional esprit de corps without a winning tradition is like faith without works.



My response: But of course, as St. James said, "Faith without works is dead". 

But we're both wrong.  Being a Cubs fan is the most Christian thing you can do, for it is a way of taking up your cross daily and suffering.

Christians at least have hope because of the Ressurection. What possible hope do Cubs fans have?
