Yes, friends, Christians - and to their shame Catholics - are loudly and enthusiastically advocating for torture - torture, the worst thing one human being can do to another - torture, the thing that used to separate the Communists from freedom-loving Americans - torture, which the Church calls gravely
And lest this send you tumbling into despair - fear not!
This is just the crucifixion all over again. We want Barabbas! we cry. What do we do with Jesus (who is our neighbor)? Crucify him! we shout until we're hoarse.
God help us. Even the godless atheists have more charity than this.
